Châteauguay, 6 juillet 2022 – Plusieurs défis devront être surmontés avant que nous puissions accueillir les premiers locataires des studios qui seront aménagés dans l’ancien motel le Rustik, dont la réalisation du projet à l’intérieur du cadre budgétaire prévu, malgré les pénuries de matériaux et de main-d’œuvre qui contribuent à la hausse des coûts. Toutefois, parmi les avancées, les plans projetée du projet a été approuvée par la municipalité.  

Dans l’intervalle des travaux, les partenaires du projet réfléchissent au nouveau nom que pourrait porter l’immeuble une fois converti. Ils espèrent trouver une nomenclature qui tiendrait compte du partenariat historique entre la communauté de Châteauguay et la nation Mohawk de Kahnawake, ainsi qu’en lien avec la nouvelle vocation de l’immeuble.  

Afin de s’arrêter sur le meilleur choix, les partenaires font appel à la population de Châteauguay et de Kahnawake afin de trouver un nom au projet et au bâtiment. The partners are looking for a new name 

Châteauguay, July 6, 2022 – Several challenges must be overcome before we can welcome the first tenants of the studios that will be developed in the former Rustik motel, including the realization of the project within the planned budget, despite the shortage of materials and labor that contribute to the increase in costs. However, among the advances, the project’s proposed façade has been approved by the municipality.  

In the interval between construction, the project partners are considering a new name for the building once it is converted. They hope to find a nomenclature that would reflect the historical partnership between the community of Chateauguay and the Mohawk Nation of Kahnawake.
